Habitat Real Estate began from a vision of Emma Mansfield’s, a proud Territorian. After nearly 10 years in the industry working for some of the larger companies (both interstate and in Darwin) Emma wanted a property management company that was different.

‘I certainly didn’t want my clients just to be on a long list of owners/properties and for them to have to speak to a different property manager every time they called the office!’

Emma wanted to build the business slowly – taking on the right properties, the right landlords and in turn, the right type of tenants. ‘We have been very lucky in this Darwin market to be selective of the properties that we manage and I really understood the importance of guaranteeing a superior service to our clients, so rather than increasing the portfolio quickly, we wanted to do it correctly.’

Emma being an experienced property manager herself knows what is important for both the landlords and the tenants, but also the staff.

We have the company motto of ‘have the answer to the question, before it is asked’. Our clients pay for our professional knowledge and service
and they want us to be well informed regarding their property. We treat it
as if it was our own. We understand the need for answers promptly and efficiently in regards to the market, maintenance, inspections and lease renewals and we strive to get back to each client within a few hours.
